All of a sudden everything went dark, and then a message came on Terje´s cellphone from our electricity company letting us know that there was a problem which they hoped to fix in a few hours. The flash light on my phone helped me to find my way to where I knew I had the matchbox, and soon I had just enough light to continue my knitting. Looking out the window I could “follow” my neighbors lighting their candles.

No light, almost, no internet, no television, no housework. What a great opportunity to sit down in silence, reflecting on the weeks which lies ahead of us. The four weeks on Advent, the four weeks leading up to the celebration of The Light coming to the earth.

 

I have not figured out how to run two separate blogs on this platform, but I will try to do daily reflections in English through Advent here on this page. I am not sure it will work, but let´s just see.
